Karen moved to Greenville, South Carolina with her family in 2012. As the wife of a retired military officer their family has lived in many states, but now calls Greenville home. As a 30 year nurse with the majority of her time spent in the specialty of O.R. trauma Karen has a special connection to professionals that serve the community.

Karen and her family own two German Shepherds and are huge fans of working dogs. Karen is an active volunteer with the Greenville County K-9 unit and serves to improve the morale of these hard working officers and their K-9 partners. Karen has also provided direct support to the K-9 unit by acquiring funding for equipment and training through her own personal fundraising.

Karen has been employed as a nurse with the Greenville Veterans Administration since 2014. There she enjoys caring for the United States of America Veterans who have sacrificed so much for their county.

Karen is currently serving on the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Foundation board and is a member of the Special Forces Association Chapter 363 and participates in the Greenville County Adopt a Cop Program.
