Lt. Shawnee’ Peeples

Shawnee’ Peeples is a Lieutenant with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) Specialized Investigations Division (SID). SID investigates Crimes Against Children, Family Violence, ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children), Juvenile, and Sex Crimes. Her unit also maintains our county’s Sex Offender Registry and provides Victim Advocates to assist clients in the Victim Witness Assistance Program.

Shawnee’ began her law enforcement career with the GCSO in 2001 as a patrol deputy in Uniform Patrol. She has since served as an investigator for Juvenile Investigations, Family Violence and Homicide Investigations. She is also a certified Basic Instructor with the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

In 2014, GCSO awarded Shawnee’ the Brian Donnelly Community Service Award recognizing her significant impact on the community and dedication in the field of Law Enforcement. Shawnee’ is a graduate of The University of South Carolina (USC) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She is also a proud alumna of the USC marching band, the Mighty Sound of the Southeast. Shawnee’ enjoys music, serving others, and being a guardian of the peace. Her motto is taken from Galatians 6:9 “Don’t get weary in well doing, for in due season, you shall reap, if you don’t give up.”
