Lt. Robert May

Lt. Robert May began his career with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office after graduating from The Citadel in 2008, starting in Uniform Patrol. Over the years, he developed a strong passion for training new deputies, earning the rank of Master Deputy. He later served as a Sgt. in Traffic before being promoted to Lieutenant over Delta Platoon and transferred back to Uniform Patrol.
Lt. May also holds multiple instructor certifications through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, allowing him to train and certify deputies within the sheriff’s office. His leadership experience and commitment to developing others continue to support the mission of serving and protecting the Greenville County community.
