Michele W. Covington, PhD

Dr. Michele White Covington is Professor of Criminal Justice and Executive Director of Greenville Programs at USC Upstate. She is the Founder of Carolinas Crime Analysis Association, Upstate Crime Analysis Center, and Upstate Underground. Her current work focuses on police-community partnerships, investigative support for cold cases, and open-source, online investigations for sex trafficking. She has published one academic book and numerous research studies and grant reports, and regularly speaks at conferences, both academic and practitioner focused. Dr. Covington is a South Carolina native, a former law enforcement officer, and a current Greenville resident.
